Jeans & pants are measured by laying them flat on a table.
Shirts & Jackets
Shirts & jackets are measured by laying them flat on a table.
The waist is measured straight across, pulled snug but not stretched. (This flat measurement is then doubled to get waist diameter.)
The inseam is measured from the center of the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg hem. Again, pulled snug, but not stretched.
The rise is measured from the edge of the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
The leg opening is measured across the bottom of the leg hem.
The thigh is measured 2 inches below the crotch seam straight across the leg (not just seam to seam, all the way across the leg laying flat).
The hip measurement is taken across the pants at the base of the zipper. (flat measurement doubled to get hip diameter)
If you will take these same measurements on a pair you have that fit you well, you should have a very clear idea how our item will fit.
Chest measurement is taken across the front from arm pit seam to arm pit seam. (Double this number for chest size)
Waist measurement is taken across the bottom hem of the garment. (Double this number for waist size)
Length of garment is taken down the back from the base of the collar to the bottom of the garment.
Shoulder measurement is taken across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Sleeve measurements are taken from arm pit seam to end of cuff or from shoulder seam to end of cuff. (Specified in ad which one.)
Zipper length is the measured length from end to end of the zipper backing fabric.
